CBRE is proud to offer an annual scholarship in honor of former members of the CBRE Board of Directors who are alumni of Stanford University. 

Brad Freeman Stanford University Diversity Scholar Award


The scholarship provides a two-month, paid summer internship designed to advance the student’s readiness for a career in commercial real estate by:

  • Empowering learning through meaningful work experiences
  • Enhancing professional presence through exposure to senior executives and other leaders
  • Creating connections and accelerating industry knowledge through collaboration with CBRE colleagues

The student will receive a $10,000 scholarship for the following academic year ($5,000 at the start and $5,000 upon completion).


Scholar Award Criteria

  • As part of our commitment to furthering diversity and inclusion in our company and industry, we are pleased to offer this scholarship exclusively to students who are ethnically diverse.
  • Demonstrated record of academic excellence
  • School status:  Full-time student (Undergraduate who has completed sophomore year but not started senior year or Graduate who has completed year one of program but not started final year)
  • Employment Status: Not committed to another company/program after graduation
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. At this time, CBRE will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position
  • Degree and Career Plan aligned with possible CBRE employment, preference to client facing positions or entry-level positions likely to lead to client facing
  • Complete an application process that includes a video interview and professional references, within an established timeframe

Internship Framework
