Ian Walker

Ian Walker joined CBRE Debt & Structured Finance in 2012 and has since participated in arranging financing for all major property types, with an emphasis on student housing and conventional multifamily assets. From August 2016 to September 2017, Mr. Walker worked in London to build CBRE’s Capital Markets team, responsible for raising capital for developers and operators to build and buy multifamily and student housing properties throughout UK. Following that venture, Mr. Walker rejoined the CBRE Student DSF team in September 2017 and focuses exclusively on arranging debt and equity for student and conventional multifamily housing in the US. To date, he has closed over $2.4 billion in loan proceeds, representing both private and institutional clients including some of the top pension fund and private equity fund investors in the country.
